The iconic fashion duo will bring their newly unveiled Artists in Residence – Lucy Folk X ARTCLUB initiative, which celebrates the intersection of craftsmanship, fashion and jewellery, to the ground floor of The Calile Hotel from this Thursday February 29. Blending elements of both art and design, the pop-up concept store will showcase an assortment of new-season designs from nomadic lifestyle brand Lucy Folk and slow-fashion hero ARTCLUB for an exclusive three-month period, presenting local aesthetes with a unique opportunity to engage with the brands in person for the first time.
“This collaboration embodies our belief in fashion as an homage to the craft of creation,” says Lucy Folk of the first-of-its-kind partnership. Forming part of The Calile’s ongoing Calile Culture program, the pop-up concept space will serve as a tangible tribute to the mindful design principles upheld by both brands, and their joint dedication to the transformative power of art, fashion and jewellery.
The inaugural Brisbane residency will showcase the latest ARTCLUB designs by Heidi Middleton, a co-founder of sass & bide, with a rotating series of her slow-fashion pieces. Crafted in Sydney from mostly deadstock fabrics, ARTCLUB prioritises numbered, limited-run pieces and spotlights its artisans by inscribing their names on each garment.
A collection of Lucy Folk SS24 jewellery, accessories and apparel will be available at the concept store, alongside a bespoke jewellery service where customers can design timeless pieces in a hands-on experience.
“It’s about more than creating products; it’s about storytelling through stitches, weaving narratives into every seam and engraving. Our partnership with ARTCLUB reflects our shared love for the artisanal process, where each piece is imbued with intention and soul,” says Lucy.
The Artists in Residence – Lucy Folk X ARTCLUB concept store will open on the ground floor of The Calile Hotel on Thursday February 29. The store will trade Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturdays from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
