New Australian beer company making great strides

Launched in November last year, Stryda Brewing Co is making waves in pursuit of its goal to become a beloved Australian beer, hoping to one day be the classic choice of cold one to crack open with your mates. With its easy-drinking, budget-friendly brews the brand is hoping to cater to the taste of younger drinkers whom market trends show are steering away from traditional beers.

The Queensland-based endeavour has built its brewing philosophy around the art of balance, according to Stryda Brewing Co head brewer Riaz Shalla – formerly brewing chief at Little Alchemist Brewing Co. “We’ve worked hard to balance delicious flavours, highest quality ingredients, and the mass market appeal of an easy-drinking, stylish, and affordable beer.”

“It’s not just about creating something our team likes the flavour of; it’s about creating something that can appeal to all beer fans, not just here but worldwide,” he says. “We want to put a stamp on what an Australian beer looks and tastes like. It’s bigger than a flag printed on a can or bottle; it’s about the feeling you get when you crack open a bottle and share a drink with your nearest and dearest or even a brand-new acquaintance. It’s about a community built around beer.”

At present Stryda is focused on its flagship lager, a refreshing and sessionable 4.4% ABV, though its passion for balance extends to moderation in drinking with its 2.2% ABV lager, which offers low calories, low carbs, and low alcohol while maintaining the rich flavour of the signature 4.4% brew.

The brewery promises it is “gearing up to offer a variety of exciting experiences for beer enthusiasts across Australia” having already partnered with electronic music festival Ultra as their sole beer provider, and convincing Post Malone to sink a shoey with one of their brews.
