Stone & Wood’s Pacific Ale gets the tinnie treatment to celebrate ten years of brews

It’s hard to believe that it was ten long years since the first kegs of Stone & Wood’s now-iconic Pacific Ale rolled out of the indie Byron Bay brewery. The beer’s cult favourite status was cemented early on – the combination of big fruity hops, cloudy haze and a refreshing finish makes it the perfect potion for our steamy summers. To celebrate its anniversary, Stone & Wood is giving Pacific Ale the tinnie treatment with a permanent range of cans.

Popping Pacific Ale in a can has been a long time coming. Due to high demand from frothing customers, Stone & Wood teased us with a limited release of tinnies last year to commemorate its ten-year anniversary. The cans proved to be so popular that the brand decided to make them permanently available, moving towards a release at the end of January. Pacific Ale was originally dreamed up as a brew to enjoy in the heat as a perfect thirst-quencher, so the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

The popularity of Pacific Ale cannot be denied – since its release, the brew has earned itself a number of accolades (including multiple podium finishes and top spots in the Hottest 100 Australian Beer Awards). If you’re chasing some inspo for the perfect summertime food pairing, Stone & Wood head brewer Caolan Vaughn suggests grabbing some fresh local seafood and knocking together something simple like a mango and chilli salad to accompany – mouth bliss guaranteed.

Stone & Wood’s Pacific Ale cans will be rolled out nationally from January 21 – to see where you can pick them up, check out the Stone & Wood website. To honour the Pacific Ale’s ten-year anniversary, Stone & Wood has put together a celebration of the ale’s history … see below!
