Celebrate the season of love at Sanctuary Cove

We’d love to tell you how many poems, songs and novels are written about love but we are sure that number goes up every day – especially around February. Why not say I love you with more than just words by treating yourself and your loved one to one of the many dining delights at Sanctuary Cove this month? From romantic Mediterranean feasts to hearty Australian fare, these date-night nosh spots will leave you lost for words.

If there ever is a time for cheesy romance it’s the season of love and at Destino Wine & Cocktail Bar couples can get all ooey-gooey with a delectable Destino cheese board. Marry that with a signature cocktail such as the Pink Orchard Fizz, Lemon Meringue or Cherry Blossom and let your heart melt with every nibble and tipple.

When you desire a Greek feast, walk the red and blue carpet into George’s Paragon and feel like a Greek god and goddess when you order the Yiassou platter for two. Say hello to oysters, calamari, fish cocktails, souvlaki, spanakopita, haloumi cheese, taramasalata, tzatziki, fetta cheese, olives and fresh pita bread while washing it all down with a delectable Greek lager. Even Eros will be jealous.

If Italian food is the love of your life, be sure to book a table at Ioesco Cucina. Here you will be transported to the picturesque Italian coast while indulging in a seasonal menu with contemporary interpretations of Napoli cuisine. Treat your hot date to a sopressa pizza or spicy spaghetti alla vongole, and finish with a classic tiramisu that will leave you weak at the knees.

Swap Amalfi for Baja and bite into Mexican flavours and specialty margaritas from Pablito’s Mexican Restaurant and Tequileria. This Sanctuary Cove favourite dishes out colourful taco boards to share (or savour on your own, there is no limit when it comes to tacos).

The insatiable views of the marina are matched only by the mouth-watering food on offer, and Chim Thai Cove is a crowd favourite for those looking to spice up their life. The menu is jam-packed with flavoursome dishes such as the slow-cooked honey garlic pork ribs (yum!) and crispy duck breast with Thai-style sauce. Just be sure to save some room for the deep-fried ice-cream with miso caramel sauce.

Serving up flavour combinations that have been tantalising tastebuds for centuries, Dragon Cove is raising the culinary bar for Chinese cuisine on the coast. From crispy skinned Peking duck that is seasoned and roasted to perfection and carved at the table, to freshly made dumplings bursting with flavour, you’re bound to find a dish (or a few) to fall in love with.

Finally, you can always rely on the hearty flavours of modern Australian cuisine to kickstart a passionate culinary affair. In particular, Red Steakhouse serves up a carefully crafted menu to ignite your taste buds and set your heart ablaze. Known for its quality cuts of meat, share a Black Angus T-bone that will melt in your mouth.

Finish your romantic night out on a (sugar) high with a mouth-watering dessert at Rosé Gelateria. Offering 24 unique flavours such as the people-pleasing choc hazelnut and a magnificent rock-salt caramel through to Italian pistachio, rum and raisin, and licorice, Rosé Gelateria’s range is vast and constantly evolving. That said – we can’t go past the signature Rose flavoured gelato for the season of love.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then you and your lover should head to Sanctuary Cove’s pop-up photo booth to capture your love forever from 4:00–8:00 pm on Valentine’s Day.

Whether you celebrate love on one day, for one month or all year round, Sanctuary Cove’s signature restaurants will fill you up with a whole lot of love, no words required.
