Treat your body like a temple at Burleigh’s new health hub Nutrition Station

Eating out or getting takeaway is generally pretty tough for those of us that are on the health train – it's a constant battle, and we'll be the first to admit that we often end up with something that doesn't exactly do wonders for our summer bod. If you're making an effort to be a bit more conscious about what you're eating, then you'll want to know about Burleigh's new health hub, Nutrition Station.

The doors to Nutrition Station Burleigh, located under the Ambience tower on the Gold Coast Highway, will softly open this Friday November 16, before officially launching with a bang on Saturday with free smoothies and meals for the first 500 customers (between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm). The concept aims to cater for the health-conscious foodies that want to able to eat out and enjoy flavoursome classic cafe fare – like scrambled eggs and beef burgers – while still sticking to their own health and nutritional requirements. Nutrition Station Burleigh Heads owner Holly Louise (known in the health and wellness industry as The Fit Pharmacist) is aiming to inject healthy vibes into the seaside hub of Burleigh, serving an all-day breakfast and lunch menu, alongside smoothies, bowls and Vittoria coffee, seven days a week.

Morning eats cover everything from ricotta on toasted quinoa sourdough with fresh strawberries, almond flakes and drizzled honey, through to chilli eggs with grilled haloumi topped with tomato salsa and harissa sauce, vanilla-protein oats with roasted buckwheat, and colourful egg-topped breakfast poke bowls. For lunch, think salads like the healthy Caesar with quinoa-crusted chicken and lean turkey bacon, as well as fresh wholemeal wraps and burgers in beef, chicken, lamb and vegetarian varieties. There’s also a ‘create your own’ option where you get to craft your own plate with your choice of protein (like chipotle chicken thighs or barbecue steak), carbohydrates (various rices and potatoes), vegetables (from charred vegetables to baked carrots) and healthy sides like boiled eggs or chilli aioli. Plus, if you’re a numbers person, everything on the menu has its nutritional value broken down, so you can rest assured that every delicious mouthful is accounted for.
