Finger limes and saltbush – Miami’s Lost Palms cracks open its new Native Series of beers

The legends at Miami brewery Lost Palms are known for their quality brews and intriguing creations (we're looking at you, key-lime-pie sour). Now, the team is showcasing the tastes of Australia in tinnie form with its all-new Native Series.

The first in the series is the Finger Lime & Saltbush Sour – which has been described by the brewing team as a ‘celebration of the flora of our own backyard’. Coming through at 3.8% ABV, the new tinnies feature saltbush leaves, which have a depth of saltiness and herbal-tea vibes. Saltbush is native to most parts of the country – Indigenous Australians traditionally used ground up saltbush seeds and leaves in damper and to flavour foods. Now, it’s being used creatively to put a native spin on locally made brews!

It’s paired (perfectly) with the fresh citrus aromas, flavours and tart finish of native finger limes to create a fresh and punchy sour. The Finger Lime & Saltbush Sour is the first in Lost Palms new Native Series – keep your eyes peeled for the next release in time for summer! The new release is available on tap and in tinnies at Lost Palms in Miami, and at selected local stockists.
