If there’s one thing we Gold Coasters love, it’s sips with a seascape. Last weekend, we got our first taste of the Kurrawa Beach Club – and oh boy, it did not disappoint! Take in views of the rolling waves while you make your way through the selection of summer-inspired snacks from the container kitchen – think prawn and Moreton Bay bug rolls with Kewpie, skin-on fries and crisp fried halloumi with watermelon, balsamic and lemon balm. Meanwhile, the bar is brimming with a line-up of homegrown tipples including Granddad Jacks, Black Hops Brewing and Hard Fizz. Sunday sessions for the foreseeable future are sorted with Sunday Brunch, where guests can enjoy two drinks and little something from the container kitchen for $40.
Patrons have their pick of perches at Kurrawa Beach Club, with an array of daybeds, VIP cabanas and casual dining areas now open for bookings. Families will be welcomed, with a kid’s play area, a dedicated kid’s menu and free face painting from midday every Sunday forming part of the all-ages offering. A community recreation zone complete with volleyball nets and pilates classes adds an active element with Saturday Pilates Brunch set to become a firm favourite. Kurrawa Beach Club will also showcase the best local musicians and DJs with live tunes from Thursday through to Sunday. Kurrawa Beach Club’s operator Australian Venue Co runs a number of the Gold Coast’s iconic watering holes including The Wallaby Hotel in Mudgeeraba, Burleigh Town Tavern, Coomera Lodge Hotel and The Local Tavern in Surfers Paradise.
Kurrawa Beach Club’s trial commences on Saturday December 4 with an official launch party planned for Saturday December 11.
