Dubbed The Dirty Bucha, the new release sees The Bucha of Byron’s batches mixed with gin, spiced rum and vodka to create a spirited sip that strikes the elusive balance between health and pleasure. In a nod to the Northern Rivers region, the brand has also teamed up with Cape Byron Distillery (makers of the famed Brookie’s Gin) to help craft The Dirty Bucha flavours and ensure provenance is reflected. The first release features three varieties – lemon-myrtle kombucha spiked with botanical gin (from Cape Byron Distillery), the tropical kombucha blended with premium vodka (also from Cape Byron), and ginger kombucha blended with spiced rum. Each of the Dirty Buchas are naturally low in sugar and made from local ingredients right in the heart of Byron Bay.

The anticipated release the boozy ‘bucha coincides with the opening of The Bucha of Byron’s new headquarters, named The Bucha Shed, located in the original Stone & Wood brewery. The team plans to launch an alcoholic kombucha bar from their new home in the coming months, opening the space to the public for tastings, tours and events. In the meantime, you can try The Dirty Bucha in bottle form and on tap at various locations, including The Beach Hotel and Three Blue Ducks in Byron Bay.
