Coffee tinnies – Byron Beverage Co. puts organic nitrogen-charged coffee in a can

Coffee tinnies – Byron Beverage Co. puts organic nitrogen-charged coffee in a can

If you're a coffee snob (in a good way) then you would have heard of nitro coffee. You know, where cold brew is infused with actual nitrogen and poured from a tap, just like beer, to create a creamy, velvety texture. The caffeine-fuelled team at Byron Bay Beverage Co. have taken the concept one step further by launching Australia's first organic cold-brew nitrogen coffee in a can.

That’s right – a tinnie of nitro coffee. It’s a coffee lovers dream. Now, for those uninitiated on the greatness of nitro coffee – there’s no dairy (woo) but the nitrogen infusion creates a unique balance of taste and texture, which makes it more appealing and palatable for those who usually don’t drink black coffee. You’ve probably seen Byron Beverage Co’s nitro coffee on tap pouring at various Gold Coast and Byron Bay cafes, but swigging it from a can? Well I’ll be damned.

Byron Beverage Co‘s Black Nitro in a can is organic (another woo), has no added sugar and contains a double shot of cold-brew goodness. The organic coffee is sustainably grown, ethically sourced and is roasted in the heart of Byron Bay. Keen to get your paws on some? You’ll find Black Nitro cans locally at Poké PokéLucky BaoBrio Emporium and Grocer & Grind (so far). Go and crack one.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Gold Coast dining guide with more than 870 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
