This winter, the popular Palm Beach whisky bar will be making the most of its cosy, cavernous space by holding Winter Lunches every Saturday and Sunday. You and the crew can huddle up inside the nautical nook and escape the brisk winter air with a two-course set menu for just $25. The menu features some of The Scottish Prince’s favourite menu items – but the catch is that this red-hot lunch series (offered every Saturday and Sunday) is only available until the end of August.

For the first course you’ll choose from tempura zucchini flowers stuffed with chevre, lemon and chives, the popular quinoa, pork and fennel meat balls drowning in house-made smoked tomato sauce, and arancini balls filled with kipfler potatoes, green pea, mint and parmesan. For the main, it’s a choice of French-trimmed lamb cutlets with rosemary potatoes, a green pea and basil pesto and a whisky glaze, large local prawns tossed in olive oil, chilli, garlic and fresh parsley with toasted sourdough, or grass-fed sirloin topped with truffle gherkins (hello), charred golden shallots, red-wine jus and fried chat potatoes. Now, doesn’t that sound a whole lot better than your cheese and Vegemite toastie? You bet it does. Oh, and you can sip a sneaky whisky, a warming tea or a cocktail (or two) while you’re at it. The Scottish Prince Winter Lunch is available Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm, until the end of August.
