Live tunes, Easter-themed desserts and an entire month of chocolate – have an eggs-tra fun long weekend at The Star

Looking for something special to do this Easter long weekend? Look no further than The Star Gold Coast, which has a basket full of fun planned for the four-day holiday. Indulge in Easter-themed feasts, party on The Lawn with some killer DJs or bring along the little ones for a free Easter egg hunt. Here are all of the fun details of what’s on the calendar from March 29 to April 1 …

Kick off the Easter long weekend on Friday March 29 at Garden Kitchen & Bar, where free event Live on The Lawn will be serving up the ultimate trio of bevvies, bites and bangers from Friday to Sunday. The long weekend will deliver an exhilarating line-up of live entertainment on The Lawn including DJ Key, Brazil, Kent Tonsheck, James Canning and Axel Taylor, so get ready to party!

Garden Kitchen & Bar will transform into a family-friendly playground on Easter Sunday, with a bountiful Easter lunch on offer. Live music will get the good vibes going from 1:00 pm where kids can enjoy free face painting, a special visit from the Easter bunny himself from 2:00 pm, as well as an Easter egg hunt from 2:30 pm. As the kids run around the lawn, you can indulge in Garden Kitchen & Bar’s decadent hot cross bun dessert special.

In fact, those who want to eat as many hot cross buns as they can this Easter can do so at The Star, with every restaurant offering a different take on the humble hot cross bun. Hop to Uncle Su, where the team will be serving a Chinese take on hot cross buns all weekend. If you can’t get enough of that warm hug of cinnamon spice, head to Mei Wei to try hot cross buns in dumpling form, or have a moment with the hot cross bun-infused tiramisu at Italian dining spot Cucina Vivo. You can wash all that down with a M&G Café milkshake, served in a chocolate Easter bunny from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm all weekend.

Want more of the sweet stuff? Chocolate lovers will be in heaven too, with Harvest Buffet hosting an entire month of chocolate, featuring a flowing Wonka-esque chocolate fountain with all the trimmings to dip in. Talk about an Easter feast!
