Pattysmiths is a Melbourne-born burger joint, dubbed a ‘gourmet alternative’ to traditional fast-food. For those yet to get acquainted with the deliciousness of Pattysmiths, it is (as the name suggests) all about the patty. Just like metalsmiths are masters of metal, Pattysmiths believes it has perfected the art of hand-crafted burger patties – the chefs (known as Patty Smashers) use a signature blend of wagyu and Angus beef that is ‘hand-smashed’ on a custom-built iron plate to create a distinctive golden crust, which forms the core component of its eye-popping burgers. There’s a classic cheeseburger (beef patty, American cheddar, house pickles, ketchup, mustard and blanched onions) or you can give it a red-hot go with the Spicy Double Beef Burger, or the Mac & Cheese Royale – a beef patty, mac’n’cheese katsu, American cheddar, special sauce, ketchup, mustard, lettuce and tomato. There’s also a Southern-style fried-chicken burger, a panko-crumbed mushroom burger, and a vegan burger brimming with plant-based fillings from bun to bun. As for the sides, think loaded onion rings topped with cheese, bacon and spring onion, as well as both beer-battered chips and traditional French fries.

In addition to Pattysmiths, the Miami eatery will also be home to Alabama Chicken & Wings, which began as a virtual brand operating out of 19 Pattysmiths and Noodle Box restaurants nationally. Diners will now be able to enjoy a taste of America’s deep south with deliciously crispy chicken wings and drumettes smothered in your choice of the venue’s signature rubs and sauces.
