Burleigh Heads’ much-loved coffee spot Borough Barista has undergone a transformation, reopening as Memento Burleigh. You can expect a new-look cafe but the same friendly service, top-notch coffee and tasty treats. Tim Adams Speciality Coffee makes a special Memento house blend that runs through the machines, while T2 tea is available to sip too. On the food front, the menu (which is currently in the process of getting revamped) is filled with a variety of healthy and hearty snacks. The most popular breakfast bite is undoubtedly the street wrap, which is filled with haloumi, fried eggs, corn salsa, avocado, spinach and homemade herb aioli. Those suffering from some truly pesky hunger pangs can fill up with a sizeable bulgogi beef burger, avocado and feta on sourdough toast or a HCT sandwich with ham off the bone, Swiss cheese, tomato and homemade herb aioli. There are plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options gracing the menu, alongside acai bowls and a range of smoothies for those wanting a fruit fix. House made grab-and-go goodies line the cabinet, while pastries like croissants from Brasserie Bread can be snagged too.
