Proving to be a coffee connoisseur’s suburb of choice, Labrador is home to Kopitalk Coffee, a friendly neighbourhood cafe run by husband and wife team chef Kamarul (Kam) and Yati Rahman. The eclectic cafe serves up Malaysian street food and brews its own in-house-brand coffee. The traditional Malaysian breakfast nasi lemak – coconut rice served with chilli sambal, crispy anchovies, toasted peanuts, cucumber and a hard boiled egg – is a must try and is perfect paired with the teh tarik, a classic Malaysian frothy tea with condensed milk. The cafe holds regular roti days where the team cooks up different (and delicious) variations of the flatbread – trust us when we say you and your tastebuds won’t want to miss out!
