Mermaid Beach’s new eatery J’s Brunchette isn’t just for brunchers. In actual fact, the new floral-adorned cafe nook caters from early-morning caffeine seekers right through to loaded lunches. Nestled at the base of the Montego Mermaid Beach Motel, this charming cafe is equal parts delicious as it is beautiful, complete with a striking floral arbour, classic French-bistro seating and a florist nook stocked with fresh blooms. The breakfast menu, served from 6:30–11:00 am, offers a range of heatry classics including baked-egg shakshuka, three kinds of eggs Benedict and crisp corn-zucchini fritters. As the day drifts on, J’s Brunchette seamlessly transitions into lunch service, offering burgers to yuzu soba noodles with salmon and tiger prawn squid-ink pasta. All of the pastries (including the trending flat croissants) are made in-house by the venue’s own pastry chef.
