Fresh Eats Really Good Shit – aka Fergs – pretty much sums up precisely what you can expect from the new coffee slinger on the corner of Hillcrest Parade in Miami. The unassuming space is here to elevate your morning meal with incredible quality meals, Gabriel Coffee and friendly service. The menu has been crafted by Aleesha Forno, who is the chef at Miss Moneypenny’s, alongside Wendy Ortiz, who has come from Sydney’s Overdose Specialty Coffee Shop to helm the kitchen. Every dish that makes its way out of the kitchen is plated like some kind of edible work of art. For those with a bit of a sweet tooth, the lemon-meringue crumpets are a gift from the culinary gods, while savoury options include the parmesan-frosted Forrest Fungi, spiced pumpkin topped with poached eggs, fetta and pepita crumb. Before you ask, yes there’s a smashed avo, but the Ferg’s version is a smashed avo taco. For days when time is not on your side, the grab-and-go cabinet is brimming with delicious and freshly made deli-style sandwiches, housemade treats and vibrant salads.
