Owner Angel Ducasse opened Palm Beach plant slinger Vessel and Green in February 2022 as way to combat her growing rare plant collection and share her love of plants with the community. What resulted can only be described as a pint-sized plant paradise, where you can visit not only if you’re looking for new plant babies but if you’re hoping to incorporate them into your design aesthetic. However, it’s not just the very pretty plants that lure people inside (though the rare velvet anthuriums are definitely worth a second look), as Angel says Vessel and Green is a space for the plant community to come to chat and learn about the rare and wonderful plants, among other things. “We’re more than a plant store, we’re a creative hub,” says Angel.
Plants are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what’s available at Vessel and Green, with locally created art and handcrafted treasures also filling the boutique. “Everything we stock is sustainable and most things are handmade – we’ve got handmade soaps, perfumes and a little bit of everything, really. It’s all high-quality and very thoughtfully curated,” says Angel. Vessel and Green also supports budding local artists and makers by stocking locally made, handmade ceramics and art as much as possible. “I love supporting local artists… and the store is evolving into more of a gallery almost,” says Angel. “We have a lot of handmade sculptures, handmade ceramics and feature a lot of up-and-coming artists.” The store will soon start hosting gallery shows, with a different feature artist every month. In the next couple of weeks, a series of workshops will also launch, with the idea to unite like-minded people in the community. Workshops will cover ceramic, jewellery, painting, terrarium and bonsai making, flower printing and much more. Keep an eye out on the Vessel and Green website for further information.
You can visit Vessel and Green at 8/15 Palm Beach Avenue, Wednesdays through to Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. You are sure to find something special!
