Prepare to be pampered friends, as JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa opened the doors to Spa by JW in mid-July. The new spa complements the $35-million hotel transformation, providing those in need of some R&R a harmonious space to indulge and treat their senses to some top-notch spa offerings. Spa by JW is the first of its kind in the Australia and New Zealand region and spans an impressive 2500-sqm. The space has been designed by Australian design studio DBI (the building’s original architects and interior designers) and embodies a quintessential Queensland feel. Your senses will automatically feel relaxed upon entering the space, which has been designed with curves, lighting and translucent walls along with natural materials, textures and neutral palettes to create a welcoming flow.

The spa lounge embraces a selection of seamlessly connected relaxation zones, which complement an extensive menu of indulgent treatments. Spa by JW boasts six treatment rooms, including a signature couple’s room with its own private lounge, ensuite stone bath and twin showers, wellness saunas, steam experience showers, relaxation pods and an outdoor relaxation area. While they’re not getting knots massaged out, spa guests can sip tea, wine and dig into flavour-packed fare from a specially crafted menu curated by JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa’s executive chef Paul Smart.
