Every purchase of a limited-edition PetRescue x Gorman dog coat will see much-needed funds channelled towards the Safe & Sound Pounds Campaign, which aims to disrupt what PetRescue calls flawed legislation and a dysfunctional, outdated pound system. The organisation says that every year an estimated 100,000 animals are killed in council pounds and shelters – many of whom never even had a chance to find a forever home.
National animal welfare charity PetRescue has joined forces with iconic fashion label Gorman to help at-risk pets find safe and loving homes. The PetRescue x Gorman dog coats are available in four different sizes and three exclusive Gorman prints – Neighbours Garden, Walk It and Green Fingers. PetRescue has been instrumental in improving the public perception of rescue pets and making the adoption process easier, with the 2004 launch of an online platform connecting rescue pets with potential adopters. The organisation is continuing its noble work by working directly with council pounds, trialling a pilot desexing program and recruiting vet clinics. The PetRescue x Gorman dog coats are available from all Gorman store locations (hello, James Street and Chermside) and online.
