Feast on fried-chicken Bennys and blueberry-topped toast at Robina’s new Gathering Co.

While a lot of places claim to be kid friendly, some venues have it down to a fine art. If you're on the hunt for somewhere that's easy for little ones, has a fully fenced playground, brews a damn fine coffee with a drool-inducing menu, you need to add the newly opened Gathering Co. to your hit list.

Gathering Co. is hidden along Greenwich Court in Robina, at the entrance of Newlife Church. The independently operated venue has given the old cafe a new lease on life, with a new fit-out, a new team and a fresh new menu. Speaking of, the mouth watering morning morsels open with small bites such as toast and daily pastries and span the culinary spectrum to hearty fetta scrambled eggs, blueberry and lemon French toast and a seriously decadent buttermilk fried-chicken Benny with spicy sriracha hollandaise. From midday, the lunch menu offers some equally enticing options, with a fried-chicken burger, classic club sandwich and corn fritters. There’s also a kid-friendly menu featuring waffles with vanilla ice-cream, bacon and eggs as well as a kids burger with fries. When it comes to the drinks, patrons can sip on cold-pressed juices from Hrvst St, coffee from Parallel Roasters, which is available through the espresso machine or as filter, alongside iced-matcha lattes and specialty tea such as sticky chai.

Envisioned as a hub for people to congregate and connect over coffee and top-notch nosh, the cafe features a pretty palette of mint green and light timber, designed as an extension of its leafy surroundings. There’s ample seating stretching both inside and out, there’s even a fully fenced playground for those with little humans who don’t love to sit still and have endless energy to burn. Gathering Co. supports various community outreach initiatives including play groups and food hampers for those in need.

Gathering Co is now open in Robina! Head to our Stumble Guide for opening times.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Gold Coast dining guide with more than 870 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
