Small but mighty fine – Tiny Away has launched new Queensland tiny houses

We've already rolled into September and this year shows no sign of slowing down. If you're keen to steady the pace and unwind amidst natural surroundings, we know just the solution – Tiny Away's tiny houses! These adorable short-stay accommodation spots are set on private land in rural and regional locations, with a new series of houses just launched across Queensland. From the Gold Coast hinterland and Gladstone to the Sunshine Coast hinterland and the Fraser Coast, here are some of the new getaways where you can disconnect from the rat race and reconnect with nature ...

If you’re up for a spot of adventure, Tiny Away’s compact cabins offer the perfect escape. Using a profit-sharing arrangement that sees landowners earning up to 45 percent of rental revenue, Tiny Away partners with property hosts on a mission to create rare accommodation experiences. The sustainably built tiny houses are usually positioned on a working farm, often totally off-grid, giving guests a taste of rural life. Boasting a range of breathtaking designs and state-of-the-art features, these impressively self-sufficient ‘compact homes on wheels’ are made with sustainable materials and include waterless compost toilets, rainwater collection tanks for showers and solar panels. But camping it is not, as each tiny house features hot showers, air conditioning, a cosy queen bed and a kitchenette.

Tiny Away has launched a selection of new cosy Queensland tiny houses, with the first residing in Deepwater in the picturesque Gladstone Region. This idyllic retreat, called Ohana Hut, is situated on a 46-acre property enveloped by dense woods, inviting you to embark on scenic walks where you can spot local wildlife. A little closer to home is Tiny Tamborine in Wongawallan, a pair of petite retreats that overlook a lush valley from sprawling balconies. Guests can explore the nearby Tamborine National Park, home to waterfalls and ancient rainforest, or relax by the fire pit while roasting marshmallows. A road trip north to Perwillowen will find you at Hill Creek Tiny House, a blissful farm stay in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Nestled in a 25-acre hillside sanctuary, this diminutive abode is located near a spring-fed creek which also makes for a refreshing swimming hole. Last but not least is Bamboo Grove in Bauple, a picturesque farm-stay retreat nestled within a sprawling 28-acre property that’s surrounded by 63 distinct bamboo varieties and flourishing mango trees. Pick your own mangoes to snack on or explore the nearby natural attractions including the Mt. Bauple National Park.
