Get a glimpse of the new Stone & Wood brewery

Nearly a decade after first wetting the whistle of beer lovers everywhere, works have officially commenced on a brand new custom-built Stone & Wood brewery on Ewingsdale Road in Byron Bay. The new facility will bring everything back under one roof having previously operated out of two locations.

It’s been a long time brewing but here it is, the first glimpse of the incredible new Stone & Wood brewery! Designed by Harley Graham Architects, the glorious new space will feature a brand new state-of-the-art brewing facility, tasting room (hurrah!) and offices and is set to become a major tourist attraction for the area.

For the three founders, Ross Jurisich, Brad Rogers and Jamie Cook, the existing and original site in the Arts and Industrial Estate has evolved with the demands of the business but with a growing team and more visitors wanting to see the birthplace of Stone & Wood, the boys knew a move would be imminent. Keeping in line with the company’s ethos of supporting local industry, the new brewery will be brought to life by family-owned lismore builders AGS Commercial while Byron Bay Herb Nursery will landscape the space with a focus on integrating native plants and Wooden Anchor will sourcing reclaimed and sustainable timber for the build. Ground has been broken signalling the start of construction however in true Stone & Wood style, there’s no set date for completion, rather, it will be a more organic phase build. So, if you love beer, watch this space.
