Gather brings handcrafted wares and botanicals to Currumbin

There is a glorious new home goods, botanical and gallery space now open in Currumbin – the name is Gather, and trust us when we say that you need this in your life.

So, we’re going to admit something to you – we have a slight homewares addiction. Though, we know there is a fair chunk of you that share this problem (look, it’s not really a problem, is it?). With that in mind, it will come to no surprise to you that we’re really digging the vibe down at Currumbin’s new retail and gallery space. Gather is the creation of New Zealand natives and now Gold Coast locals Jan and Sandy Hogg, whose creativity and passion has resulted in a vibrant and effortlessly styled space. Situated along the bustling Currumbin Creek Road precinct, Gather showcases a collection of home goods, plants, clothing, jewellery and art. Gather is the first venture for the talented duo, who have aligned themselves with a fabulous series of mainly local brands and artists.

You’ll find throws and cushions from Pony Rider, hand-crafted furniture and wooden treasures from Murwillumbah’s Burnpile, leather goods from Mooi and The Goods Co, skincare ranges from Dr Bronner’s and Herbivore Botanicals, wall art from renowned Coolangatta artist Leah Bartholomew and much more. The plants and botanicals range will expand over the coming weeks and the walls are set to be filled with more pieces from local artists – the plan here is for the Gather collection to evolve with the brands and artists … and we think that’s pretty darn rad. In a world of mass-produced goods, it’s always inherently refreshing to see places like this come to light, and you can tell when you step inside Gather that each piece in its showcase has been placed there with thought, passion and a deep-seeded understanding of how to fill an interior space. It’s an experience one cannot buy online. Though, if you are online, jump over to Gather’s Instagram page for some inspo.
