The Star’s sparkling annual end-of-year celebration is the ultimate way to kick off the festive season and this year’s Not So Silent Night promises not to disappoint. A formal cocktail attire dress code is a perfect excuse to level up the glamour for the evening – and you can be sure that the spectacularly themed ballroom will be dressed to match. Live beats from 42Band (made up of a selection of exceptionally talented artists from Gold Coast legends Hanlon Brothers’ renowned musical arsenal) will get the party started with a line-up of much-loved live RnB, soul and hip-hop jams, followed by local DJ Libre who will hit the decks and keep the dance floor pumping late into the evening.
It wouldn’t be a night out without decadent eats, and Not So Silent Night is delivering them in spades. The night will kick off with a sumptuous selection of canapes, including hand-rolled sushi, chicken kofta with pomegranate yoghurt and pumpkin-and-almond samosa with mango relish. From there you’ll roll into a three-course feast, starting with entrees of smoked salmon with dill and lemon creme fraiche, pickled onion, capers and croutons or Serrano ham with grilled asparagus, whipped goats curd, savoury muesli and aged balsamic. Moving on to mains, you’ll be served the likes of beef tenderloin with potato gratin, broccolini and cafe de Paris butter, or roasted chicken breast with baby potato, brussels sprouts and bacon, drizzled with chicken jus. Don’t fret, sweet tooths – the feast will conclude with a selection of delightful mini desserts, handcrafted by The Star’s pastry chef. Sublime sips are also a must when getting into the yuletide spirit and they will be in plentiful supply – event-goers will be spoilt with a four-and-a-half-hour beverage package to accompany the feast including Talking Point sparkling, red and white wines, local beers and non-alcoholic options. If you’re feeling particularly thirsty, you can upgrade your beverage package to also enjoy a selection of spirits.
Sound good? We thought so. Tickets for this starry soiree are $215 or $235 for the ticket and beverage upgrade, and can be secured via Eventbrite. Be quick as they are strictly limited – last year’s event sold out in record time.
