After making a name for itself in Byron Bay, Slice Pizzeria ventured north to Burleigh Heads to tempt locals with its top-notch nosh. With an emphasis on quality and care and an oven imported from Italy, Slice is not your average takeaway pizza joint. The philosophy behind the venue has always been to create, with an emphasis on using the best possible ingredients. Each pizza is made using a specialty slow-rise dough formula that contains almost no yeast and can take up to six days to rise, after which it is adorned with a delicious scattering of toppings and cooked to crisp perfection. When ordering, you’ll be faced with an almost impossible array of flavour combinations that ranges from the standard classics through to the more creative but equally delicious ‘Zee Germans’ and ‘Prawn Story’.
