Sal’s Authentic New York Pizza has opened its first Gold Coast location in Broadbeach, bringing a taste of New York’s iconic pizza culture to the area. Founded in 1975 by Salvatore Leo in Queens, New York, Sal’s has grown from a local favourite to an international brand, with stores dotted all around New Zealand and Australia. Known for its large, thin, crispy slices and simple yet flavourful toppings, Sal’s uses imported ingredients like New York-milled flour and exclusive NYC mozzarella. The Broadbeach franchise, opened by locals Ben Sullivan and his wife, offers a full menu featuring classic pies, Garlic Knots, and buffalo wings, ensuring an authentic slice experience.
