Just a short stroll from the heart of Burleigh Heads, you’ll find Mint Art House, a one-of-a-kind gallery created and run by artists. It’s pretty hard to miss this spot, with Prickles (Andrew Cullen and Dion Parkers’s Swell Sculpture Festival winner) sitting out the front. This teddy bear may look friendly but his barbed wire formation is exactly as its title suggests – prickly. Mint Art House is home to eight unique local artists, with ceramicists to painters, sculptures to smoulders and everything in between. This space is all about art, collaboration and creativity, with a focus on expressing yourself openly in a unique space.
