Housed in the old Compadres Mexican on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, Hideaway Kitchen & Bar is the latest from Scott Imlach, owner of Bine Bar & Dining, and Jon Hizola, the former head chef at Etsu. Showcasing the best street-food from around Southeast Asia, the menu offers a range of small bites through to hefty serves of whole tempura fish and 500-gram rib-eye steaks. As you might expect, Scott has also curated a stellar selection of swill including Asian beers, sake and cocktails with a hint of Asian flavour. Designed to accommodate groups with ease, Hideaway Kitchen & Bar offers a range of seating areas including booth-style seating, a private dining area that can fit 18 and a spacious alfresco deck.
