FuFu is a modern-Asian eatery and bar in Mermaid Beach. If you’ve visited in the past, you may notice FuFu has changed its look, vibe and menu since it opened in March 2018. FuFu’s original bright, cute, pastel-hued aesthetic have been replaced with a darker, sleek and moody vibe. Its menu is also now more refined than its debut offering, dishing up plates of tuna ceviche with yuzu, wasabi peas and pickled onion, soy and sesame salmon sashimi, and ‘tom yum’ zucchini with fresh shallots and ginger. As for the larger share-style dishes, think sweet-and-sour pork belly with chargrilled pineapple, tender beef cheek served with broth and a ginger mash, and a crispy Vietnamese crepe brimming with pork, prawns and a yuzu salad. Make sure you get stuck into FuFu’s killer cocktails or sample sips from the wine list while you’re at it.
