When their existing brewery on Ern Harley Drive began bursting at the seams, Peta and Brennan Fielding began working on plans for Burleigh Brewing Co. 2.0. Now, almost a year later, the wraps are off their brand new facility. The new brewery is located a couple of hundred metres up the road and features a bunch of shiny new tanks that will enable the brewery to increase production in terms of overall volume but also variety. All brewing, fermenting, maturing, filtering and packaging onsite and despite the company’s growth, the brand continues to uphold their ‘local first’ approach and sources as many of the ingredients and packaging materials as locally as possible, they even donate the left over yeast to a local landscaper as it is rich in nutrients. If you’re keen to see the masters at work, book yourself in for one of the brewery’s Backstage with the Brewmaster events or just pull up a chair in the Brewhouse Bar and sample the fruits of their labour. The Brewhouse Bar will be open every week for tastings and takeaways, offer live music on Fridays and host a crafternoon on Sundays.
