From a hole in the wall shop on Brisbane’s Brunswick Street, Burger Urge began slinging fat stacks of deliciousness a decade ago and now boasts restaurants across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, regional Queensland and New South Wales. For those not yet acquainted, Burger Urge dishes up gourmet burgs that also happen to be good for you – hurrah! For traditionalists, you’ll be all over the Original, which is about as simple and delicious as a burger can be with a slab of Angus beef topped with cheese, pickles, diced onion, ketchup and mustard on a milk bun but if you’re up for something a little extra, look to the house specials board that features mouthwatering monstrosities like the Donald Trump, which is pulled beef, maple bacon, fries, cheese, pickles, hickory BBQ sauce, ranch and aioli on a white bun. Add some southern fried wings and some Dirty Fries topped with bacon, cheese sauce, shallots and Burger Ring seasoning and you have yourself a damn fine feast.
