Following an extensive $1.45 million renovation, Beenleigh Tavern has reopened with a brand-new look, a mouth-watering menu of eats and a spectacular line-up of entertainment. The revamp has seen a total overhaul of the sports bar, bistro and gaming room, breathing new life into the beloved pub and live-music venue. The upgraded sports bar is flaunting an industrial look with exposed brick and wood-panelled walls, with high tables and a large stage making it the perfect destination to catch live sport and music gigs throughout the week. Entertainment takes centre stage at Beenleigh Tavern, which will host frequent big-ticket concerts and events – think Aus-rock heroes like The Black Sorrows, Diesel and Shannon Noll. Punters can rock up for some pre-weekend festivities at Thursday Night Live in the sports bar, which will bring open-mic nights, musical bingo and wild-west karaoke, whereas Fridays will welcome DJs and local artists. Saturdays will feature local bands and major touring acts and guests can finish the weekend off on a high note with a pub meal, a pint and some great tunes at the Sunday afternoon acoustic sessions. Over at the bistro, hungry folk can dig in to a schmick new menu of pub eats like chicken karaage with blue-cheese mayo, peking duck shanks, bacon and cheese garlic bread, classic parmies and burgers. Lighter options like salads and grilled fare will also grace the menu alongside a selection of souped up parmies like The Outback Parmy (with maple bacon, fried egg, onion rings and barbecue sauce), The French Parmy (with shaved ham, brie, Bearnaise and avocado), and The Vego Parmy, made with a whole roasted eggplant. The little ones won’t feel left out either with a huge menu of kid-friendly eats like chicken nuggets, battered fish, ham and pineapple pizza, spaghetti bolognese and cheeseburgers, which can be followed by a go on the kids play area.
