Located on level one of The Oasis in Broadbeach is Barcode Espresso – a kiosk-style cafe where you’ll find specialty (Supreme Roasters) coffee and a delicious breakfast and lunch offering. You’ll still find your cafe favourites, but those wanting to step outside the square a little can do so with dishes like truffled mac ‘n’ cheese croquettes, and the eye-catching Benedict bao, intricately plated with poached eggs, bacon, a herbed hollandaise and punchy sriracha. Sweet tooths can indulge in the raspberry and white-chocolate waffles, while those with a hankering for something substantial can tuck into Southern fried-chicken burgers, a simple cheeseburger with pickled onion, or a hearty haloumi, mushroom and egg burger – all served on a Japanese milk bun. There’s also a series of fresh sandwiches and vibrant salads on offer daily, plus smoothies, juices, cold-brew coffee, house-made sweets and on-the-go bites.
