Inspired by the international food-hawkers scene, owners of Barbacoa Mexican Taqueria James Knight and Luisa Tarnawski started their foodie adventure in 2014 in the busy Brisbane Farmer’s Markets. Drawing from their love of street food they set about creating a new relaxed retail dining spot that everyone could enjoy, focusing on popular street food found in Mexico City. Barbacoa Mexican Taqueria in Westfield Coomera is the couple’s first store on the Gold Coast and brings traditional Mexican-inspired flavours combined with a taste of friendly Mexican hospitality.
