Adorn yourself in modernist masterpieces from Two Hills Jewellery

Melbourne jeweller Rhiannon Smith knows a thing or two about creating beautiful things. Her label Two Hills is a wholly local operation dedicated to crafting finery that you won’t find anywhere else – think honest, cutting-edge, trend-bucking pieces that are still totally wearable.

The origins of Two Hills go all the way back to 2011 when Rhiannon was finishing her final year of study. After dipping her toe into silversmithing by making rings for herself and her friends, the passion grew into a self-sustained business built on creating handcrafted jewellery in limited runs. This ethos has remained at the core of the brand – Two Hills is about making items that Rhiannon would wear personally, made locally and with love. In fact, up until about three years ago Two Hills was a one-woman show run by Rhiannon herself. These days the brand is manned by a small but dedicated team of babes that keep the business running and assist with the manufacturing of pieces.

When it comes to the design process of Two Hills, Rhiannon is heavily inspired by the visuals around her in everyday life, particularly art and architecture. From there, it’s all about the creative grind – pondering, sketching, sampling, analysing and refining until a collection is finalised. All pieces are made to order using recycled materials wherever possible, ensuring that the business remains ethical and sustainable. In the future, Rhiannon is hoping to get back into working with precious gemstones to create a small batch of limited-edition occasion pieces – so keep your eyes on the Two Hills website for more amazing releases in the future.

If your life could use a bit more luxe, you can shop the current collection of Two Hills jewels on the brand’s official website.
