Salt Gypsy’s founder Danielle Clayton, a former surf guide and coach in the Maldives, set out to create a surfboard range that was accessible and not intimidating for women, launching four different (and super stylish) shapes that are suitable for a wide range of surf conditions.
The four styles include ‘The Shorebird’, a twin fin available in dirty pink and mint, and ‘The Mid-Tide’, a mid-length board available in navy and mustard. There’s also ‘Dusty’, a longboard available in olive and merlot and ‘The Paradise Punch’, a Stand Up Paddle Board available in a mix of Dirty Pink and Merlot. The boards, which are named after some of Salt Gypsy’s favourite summer cocktails, are created in conjunction with Manly-based Global Surf Industries. The collection is now available online, while Sydney readers can find them at select stockists.
