Glow up with Enbacci’s microdermabrasion exfoliating scrub

We do some pretty wild (read: insane) things in the name of beauty. From micro-needling (which is as painful as it sounds) to slathering on actual snail serum (which is as gross as it sounds), anything goes in the quest for that elusive glow factor. When it comes to exfoliation, however, it seems we could be doing more harm than good with the overuse of harsh chemical peels that can lead to irritation, inflammation and damage to the all-important skin barrier. The good news is there's an alternative. Pioneering the future of at-home exfoliation, Australian skincare brand Enbacci is tackling the stigma associated with traditional face scrubs with an ocean-safe and skin-friendly Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Scrub.

When you think of physical exfoliation, you’re probably casting your mind back to that gravel-like apricot scrub we all used as teenagers. Thankfully, things have come a long, long way in the area of at-home exfoliation. Enbacci’s deliciously creamy Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Scrub is made from a naturally occurring compound called alumina, which is extracted from a sedimentary rock called bauxite. Measuring as small as 8 microns, the rounded and densely packed spheres safely scrub away dead skin cells without causing micro-tears on the skin’s surface. The best part? Unlike plastic micro-beads which form oceanic waste that is consumed by animals, the extracted compound is environmentally-safe and non-toxic to wildlife, so that’s good news for our oceans.

Formulated at a skin-friendly pH of 4–4.5, the luscious scrub is a twice-weekly treatment designed to gently remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, improve skin smoothness, restore radiance, and assist in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. The only thing it can’t do is prepare your tax return. Created in 2013 in response to her own sensitive skin issues, Nan Chen alongside her daughter Yong-Li Zhou founded Enbacci. The goal was to harnesses the power of fruit and plant stem cells to create luxury skincare products for all Australians of all ages, genders, skin types and ethnicities. Advocates for social change, Enbacci has also partnered with industry leader, i=Change, and donates $1 from every purchase to carefully selected projects, including The Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation, Womens Community Shelters and the Seabin Foundation.
