Avid vintage shoppers on the coast know that on the second and last Sunday of every month, the Dust Temple courtyard transforms into a vibrant haven for seasoned thrifters and bargain lovers at the Dusty Rummage pre-loved fashion market. There’s a treasure trove of second-hand clothing to trawl through from local sellers, as well as live music playing and refreshing drinks flowing for good vibes all afternoon. You can even book a rack to sell your own wares.
With business going so well (who doesn’t love a little shop?), the Dusty Rummage team has decided to make this pop-up market permanent, and have set up shop in the upstairs area of the popular cafe and gallery.
Dusty 54 owner Ava Wilson said, “Sometimes people can’t make it to a rummage on Sunday, so I wanted to make it easy to shop second-hand.”
Take the stairs and be welcomed into a sun-kissed space filled with art and pre-loved fashion pieces. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, the store features a constantly evolving inventory from various local sellers. Every two weeks, the stock and sellers refresh, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to discover. Ava said, “With a rotating roster of sellers, there’s always different styles and sizes, so everyone can find something that they love.”
Once you’ve found your unique threads, you can browse the art gallery or soak up the sun in the courtyard where the Dust Temple kitchen and bar will be serving food, coffee, cold beers and yummy cocktails for both buyers and sellers. So grab your tote bags and head to Dust Temple in Currumbin to discover your own unique style at Dusty 54.
