Sustainable label Coreprêt kits out your ethical working-week wardrobe

Workwear has long been the poor cousin to your weekend threads, but now sustainable fashion label Coreprêt is shaking up the Monday-to-Friday routine with a sharp collection of men’s, women’s and basic pieces. With outfits divided into certain days of the week, the brand is smashing our fear of repeating clothes, one cropped velvet jacket at a time.

Founded in 2017 by Nessie Croft and Gabrielle Leavesley, Coreprêt is a strong player in the Australian ethical fashion industry. This fortuitous sartorial collaboration has led to some stunning creations over the past two years – from houndstooth mid-rise trousers and collared shirt dresses for the girls, to denim tabards and double-breasted jackets for the gents. The progressive label integrates nostalgic Aussie styles with clever tailoring, while presenting the very tempting idea of having set outfits for each day of the week.

Coreprêt continually strives to find ways to lessen its environmental impact and improve its ethical standards, with a focus on reusing materials and engaging ethical suppliers. The label sources designer surplus, upcycled textiles, organic natural fibres and recycled fabrics, while also investing in carbon offset programs and operating on a make-to-order business model. You can peep the women’s and men’s collections online.
