Shop for a cause – here’s a bunch of homegrown labels and brands that are donating to bushfire relief

The ongoing catastrophic Australian bushfires have left us all feeling helpless, but the overwhelming number of generous individuals and businesses stepping up to support the victims and our firefighters – whether it be by donating funds, spreading awareness, volunteer efforts or fundraising – is nothing short of an amazing feat. Through tough times such as these, our Aussie spirit of kindness and generosity never ceases to prevail. Here is a list of homegrown brands and labels that are donating part (or all) of their sales profits to the Bushfire Disaster Appeal and related charities.


ART/BOOKS/MUSIC
Avalon Todaro prints
Melbourne-based artist Avalon Todaro is slinging a specially designed black cockatoo print with 100-percent of the proceeds from this print donated to WIRES Wildlife Rescue. Shop the print here.

Ginger Taylor digital prints
Visual artist Ginger Taylor is selling a digital download of her Australia print, with 100-percent of profits to be donated to the Rural Fire Service. Check out the print here.

Sara Sidari
Drawn in dedication to the victims and animals that are suffering through the ongoing bushfires, 100-percent of profits from the ‘Touched by a Koala’ print will be donated to WIRES Wildlife Rescue. Shop the print at the Sara Sidari website.

Kirra Smith Photography
For the whole month of January, Kirra Smith will donate 100-percent of profits from sales of her prints to the Australian bushfire appeal. Shoppers can choose from any of the snaps on her Instagram page.

Margaret Zhang
All profits for Margaret Zhang’s prints and books will be donated in equal parts to the NSW Rural Fire Service’s volunteer fire-fighters, Red Cross Australia’s disaster relief evacuation centres for residents impacted by the bushfires, and the Salvation Army’s emergency services teams providing meals to frontline responders and evacuees. Favel Parrett
For the month of January, author Favel Parrett is donating her author royalties (10-percent of retail price) from all books to WIRES Wildlife Rescue and Wildlife Victoria. Check out the range of books on her website.

The Zoo
Until further notice, $1 from every pre-sold ticket at The Zoo will be donated in support of fire victims – just another reason to get your tickets early!

BEAUTY
Frank Body
The entirety of Frank Body’s A-Beauty Scrub sales will be donated to WIRES Wildlife Rescue, Country Fire Service and NSW Rural Fire Service throughout January. Treat yourself via the Frank Body website.

This week, Badlands Journal will be donating 100-percent of profits from its online boutique to WIRES Wildlife Rescue and NSW Rural Fire Service. Shop the range of artisanal homewares and beauty essentials here.

Mellow Cosmetics

During January, Brisbane label VIKTORIA & WOODS will commit up to $20,000 through proceeds of sales, which will be distributed to support the fire devastated communities across Australia. Visit their website here.
