The Staircase – Binge
If you’re seeking a show that will have you questioning “surely this didn’t actually happen?” after each episode, then let us introduce you to The Staircase. The thrilling series tells the story of Michael Peterson, a crime novelist accused of killing his wife Kathleen after she is found dead at the bottom of a staircase in their home, and the high-profile murder trial that follows. You might already be familiar with the story, as it was the centre of a 2005 documentary called Death on the Staircase, but if you’re not, all we can tell you is expect many twists and turns, because, boy, there are plenty of them. Oh, and did we mention the star-studded cast? Colin Firth plays Michael Peterson, Aussie icon Toni Collette stars as Kathleen and the rest of the cast is made up of Parker Posey, Olivia DeJonge, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sophie Turner, Odessa Young and Dane DeHaan. You can catch the first three episodes of The Staircase on Binge, with new episodes dropping weekly.
The Kardashians – Disney+
They’reeeeee baaaaack. It’s time to once again keep up with Momager Kris and the Kardashian/Jenner family as they celebrate new ventures and navigate motherhood, relationships and career goals. While we thought that the family was done with reality TV after finishing up their E! Network show in 2021, it was not even a year before they were back on our screens. Like any toxic relationship, we miss the drama – which in this case is good, as this new show has bucketloads of it. The Kardashians is available to stream now on Disney+ in Australia, with new episodes dropping on Thursdays.
