Bandsome is bringing menswear back to (sustainable) basics

It’s an exciting time for menswear – the once hard-and-fast rules of dapper dressing have been thrown out the window in favour of experimental style. But where do you turn to when your neon bum-bag and platform sneakers inevitably fall out of fashion? To basics. A good tee and a reliable pair of pants are the bread and butter of most men’s wardrobes no matter what they throw on top. Bandsome is a brand that understands this, so it’s dedicating itself to producing the best basics out there in sustainable style.

Bandsome’s website offers a selection of teestotes and trousers in a serene palette of earthy hues as well as the essential black and white. Most pieces are available in up to seven colours, so if you really like a tee, you could theoretically wear it all week long (no laundry needed). Not resigned to fade into the background of basics brands, Bandsome puts its own subtle stamp on things with its embroidered smiley insignia. You’ll find the happy little guy tacked on to signature totes and tees throughout the collection. Plus – the exciting coming soon section on Bandsome’s website promises button-ups, polos and henley shirts to come.

Based in Sydney, Bandsome has decided to keep manufacturing close to home with a focus on maintaining face-to-face connections with its team of makers. They keep local by partnering with responsible manufacturing partners in Sydney and sourcing fabric from a Melbourne knitting factory. All Bandsome tees and totes are made from 100-percent Global Organic Textile Standard-certified cotton, a fabric ready to withstand a little wear and tear and stand the test of time.
