Savour the season and indulge in luxurious delights with Truffle Month at The Star

Sure, the mornings may be a little on the brisk side, but we tend to overlook all of that when we get a taste of the delicious seasonal produce that arrives each winter. Rich, enticing truffles fall into that category – and The Star Gold Coast is celebrating the delicacies once again this year by releasing a series of specially curated truffle-infused menus available until July 31.

The delicious Truffle Month at The Star sees signature venues Cucina Vivo, Japanese fine diner Kiyomi and Chinese feasting spot Imperial at The Star come on board to celebrate the delightful seasonal morsels. You can discover the intoxicating aroma in true Italian style at Cucina Vivo and treat yo’self to its four-course ‘Alla Tartufo’ menu this month. You’ll start with fontina, spinach and truffle arancini with a black crumb, crispy kale and truffle honey, before moving on to the truffle and stracciatella-stuffed agnolotti with fresh shaved white truffle. The main is a Stanbroke beef fillet poached in black-truffle sauce with Sicilian potato gratin, before finishing with a hazelnut mousse with truffle ice-cream and winter raspberries.

Up at the award-winning Kiyomi, you can experience small plates like fresh Pacific oysters and the Kagoshima wagyu nigiri and tosazu, served with slices of fresh black truffle. Or, you can really treat your tastebuds to indulgent mains like the tooth fish toban with Asian mushrooms and baby corn, or the whole flounder with Brussels sprouts, capers, lemon and dashi Butter – each delicately topped with lush black truffle. Chef Song Yao Su is infusing the delicate black truffles with authentic Chinese cuisine at Imperial at The Star, with the warming winter menu featuring dishes like double-boiled black truffle, sea cucumber and pearl-oyster soup, sauteed scallops with black truffle, and black-truffle crab-meat fried rice.

Whether you’re a seasoned truffle eater or are just getting a taste for it, there are plenty of ways to experience these enticing morsels at The Star, with the menus available until July 31. To view the full menus and make bookings, head to The Star website.
