If you need a lil’ something to get you through the Monday blues, why not settle in for some brain-busting trivia. Head to Club Helensvale for some brain-training hosted by the Brain Drain Trivia crew. Or get quizzical over a parmy or a steak at QuizzaMe’s Monday night trivia at Parkwood Tavern.
Tuesday
You survived Monday – so treat yo’self to trivia on Tuesdays. Bine Bar & Dining holds Trivia Tuesdays on (you guessed it) Tuesday nights plus slings a delicious $5 taco special. Get around the Tipsy Trivia held at Precinct Brewing with $15 pizzas and a cash jackpot. If you’re looking for something closer to the border, head to Seagulls where not only are there top-notch prizes on offer but players can feast on $5 tacos and sip $10 margaritas throughout the evening. The competitive game of random facts and pointless knowledge is broadcast on the big screen in Lakeview every Tuesday evening. Further north, The Ox (aka The Oxenford Tavern) holds its QuizzaMe electronic trivia night every Tuesday, with a bunch of prizes or catch the quiz crew at Think Trivia on Tuesday’s at The Star Gold Coast. Over at Varsity Lakes, Hotel CBD also hosts QuizzaMe trivia on Tuesday nights with a cash jackpot and spot prizes. One of our favourite trivia slinging company Quiz Meisters also host Tuesday Trivia at The Lucky Squire in Broadbeach and Ashmore Tavern. Surfers Paradise Supporters Club is where its at if you’re a fan of themed trivia, as the first Tuesday of every month is a special themed trivia night. We’re talking everything from Seinfeld to back to the 80s trivia.
Wednesday
Southport’s favourite local Last Night on Earth is the place to be on Wednesday nights – its bi-weekly themed trivia night attracts competitive know-alls from all over town (and is run on alternate weeks to the equally enjoyable Musical Bingo). You can drain the brain every Wednesday night up further north at The Park Coomera at Westfield Coomera, at the Infusion Trivia Gameshow in the Park – it combines all of your favourite TV game shows (aka Sale of the Century and Family Feud) with wireless buzzers, live scoring and killer prizes. Southport Sharks hosts trivia in the Main Club on Wednesday nights once a month, while over at The Nerang RSL it’s QuizzaMe trivia night every Wednesday. Join the Quiz Meisters at Southport Surf Club in Main Beach for some beachside fun, or hit up The Boathouse Tavern in Coomera for some Brain Drain Trivia.
Thursday
Those on the northern end of the coast can test their brains at Black Hops II in Biggera Waters on Thursday. Or set yourself up for a night of brain-training at Madocke Beer Brewing Company in Ashmore. The BMD Northcliffe Surf Club hosts brain-tickling trivia with vouchers and other top-notch prizes on offer. Further south, Hotel CBD in Varsity hosts its Trivia Thursday with el cheapo meal deals, as does the Currumbin RSL and Lonestar Tavern which hold their weekly trivia night every Thursday from 7:00 pm.
