Sumptuous seafood and staycations – The Star Gold Coast is back, baby!

Oh, 2020 – what a time it's been! Let's just say it will be a year that will be etched in our collective memories for a long, long time to come. As tempting as it might be to write the entire year off and hibernate until 2021, The Star Gold Coast is here to remind us that there are still 22 weeks left in this year to make up for lost time with some extravagant RE-DO experiences and sensational seafood specials.

While we can’t jump in our DeLoreans and duck back in time, The Star Gold Coast invites you to re-do all of those missed milestones – but better – with eight tailored packages that are designed to redefine memories, reignite the flame and revitalise friendships. If you are still talking to your significant other after all of that time together in iso, the 2020 Anniversary RE-DO package is all about rekindling with a massage, romantic dinner for two and a night away. Fawning for cocktail-filled frolics with your gal pals? The Facetime RE-DO is for reconnecting IRL with a baller penthouse suite in The Darling, in-room hair and make-up, cheeky pre-dinner drinks prepared by your very own personal mixologist and a lavish VIP dinner at one of The Star’s esteemed eateries. If you’re really wanting to splash out, the Designer RE-DO package is the ultimate designer splurge and includes a two-night stay in The Darling Penthouse Suite, a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne, in-room canapes, $250 dining credit to be used at any of The Star’s restaurants as well as a $3000 luxury designer shopping credit for Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

One small silver lining from 2020 is that with a little more time on our hands, our recipe repertoire was bolstered – but we draw the line at seafood, some things are best left to the experts. If you too have a penchant for perfectly cooked crustaceans, The Star is dishing up some mouth-watering specials to lure you from hibernation. Food Quarter is delighting diners with lobster mornay and Moreton Bay bugs for the cheap-as-chips price of $29.99, Garden Kitchen & Bar is slinging a two-course feast for $49.90, which includes freshly peeled prawns and AOC oysters alongside a New Zealand-Sole with caper butter, broccolini, watercress and French fries. Kiyomi is tantalising tastebuds with spanner crab chawanmushi with pecorino and beurre noisette for $40, Cucina Vivo is serving Aragosta Coral Sea champagne lobster with saffron linguini for $50 and Mei Wei Dumplings has a selection of seafood combos for $21. If you are keeping things locked down for a little longer but still crave some top-notch tucker, Table for 2 is making menus from Kiyomi, Garden Kitchen & Bar and Mei Wei Dumplings available for pick-up or delivery. Take a peek here. Hot tip – for the month of August, you can enjoy free delivery with the promo code TWEFree!
