Taboo Tiki is the latest venture from the team behind Aloha Bar & Dining – a popular bar and eatery in Broadbeach that’s equally as hidden. The new Surfers Paradise addition has a similar tropical and tiki-esque vibe to its Broadbeach sibling, with its interior dripping in eye-catching hand-painted creations by artist Le Grizz. Booths and seating nooks are dotted throughout, but no matter where you park yourself, Taboo’s hanging tiki heads will be keeping watch as you sip.
Taboo Tiki is a rum bar at its core, with the bar slinging around 30 different varieties (that number is set to grow), as well as a series of rum-based tropical-style cocktails. You’ll also find beers on tap and a selection of other spirits on pour, including small-batch Australian gins. Oh, and a food element is set to be launched in the near future to curb those late-night cravings – so keep your eyes peeled.
Taboo Tiki is now open and slinging the goods until the wee hours. Click over to the Stumble Guide for its location, opening hours and contact details.
