That’s right, rum is cool again – and the coast’s own Australiana-themed bar Rosella’s is making sure of it. Owners Jon Debeere and Jack Connor have teamed up with Bundaberg to make their very own version of the famous Aussie rum. The exclusive collab blend has been predominately aged in sherry casks (plus a kiss from the bourbon barrels) with a heavy char level.
The new drop is only available at Rosella’s – you can order it neat (the best), on the rocks (second best), or you can ruin it with Coke. Resident cocktail wizard Jack has also created a new sip to mark the Bundy release, featuring a nip of the new blend with burnt butter, pandan, wattleseed, caramel, port and coffee oil. Oh, and on Sunday October 20, the Rosella’s fellas are celebrating the release with a Bundaberg takeover, aptly named Bundy Sundy, with jaffles and rum being slung from 4:00 pm.
