Roast marshmallows and sip mulled wine by your own private fire at Robina Pavilion

Picture this – you and yours sitting arm in arm, sipping soul-warming mulled wine and picking your way around a cheese board by a crackling fire. Sounds pretty dreamy, right? Before you drop everything and make haste to Bunnings to invest in a fire pit or book the nearest B&B out of town, we have some news that may be of interest – Robina Pavilion has teamed up with the legends at Stone & Wood for Fire Pits By The Lake.

Winter tends to get a bit of a bad wrap among us summer-loving locals but there’s something deeply satisfying about sitting around a fire. Time seems to escape into a vortex of dancing flames interrupted only by the occasional ‘pop’ of the wood (or more accurately, the cellulose transforming into gas). Slightly charred marshmallows that accidentally (on purpose) catch on fire and that unmistakable smell – you know the one, that smoky aroma that fills the air, infiltrates your clothes and hair whilst also transporting your senses to a rustic farmhouse somewhere far far away. Robina Pavilion is luring you out of hibernation with its newly launched fire pit sessions. Available from Friday through to Sunday, the two-hour bookings come complete with your own private fire pit around the lake, marshmallow-toasting kits with roasting rods, delectable cured meats and cheese boards loaded with Tasmanian double brie, prosciutto di parma, balsamic olives, grilled chorizo and seasonal fruits.

Complete your winter experience with a sip from the venue’s brand-new cocktail menu featuring house-brewed mulled wine alongside Stone & Wood’s limited-edition brew. The fire-pit packages are available to book for groups of up to ten people from midday on Friday through to Sunday throughout winter. Bookings can be made via [email protected] or on 07 5593 2600.
