For the uninitiated, Quincy is essentially a spiked sparkling water and is perfect for those times you fancy a little something something but don’t necessarily want to ingest a tonne of sugar in every sip like the majority of existing pre-mixed options. The Australian-made beverage officially launched around the nation this week and we’ve got a feeling it will be popping up in bars across the country before summer’s end. Loaded with personality not sugar, Quincy is not only gluten free but it boasts approximately 50-percent less sugar and 30-percent carbs than leading vodka premixes and is available in two refreshing options – lime or passionfruit.
Generally seltzers can be made one of two ways, either naturally fermented or made from a carbonated mix of alcohol and water. Quincy is the former and is made through a rice fermentation process so the alcohol is naturally occurring, it’s then infused with a hint of natural flavour. The result is as refreshing as sparkling water, only a bit boozy. Pick up a four-pack at your nearest Dan Murphy’s, BWS and all leading independent liquor outlets.
