Goodbye late-night kebabs, hello beachside tacos and Thai – Paradise Centre is bringing a foodie mecca to Surfers

Despite its reputation as a glitzy strip by the beach, Surfers Paradise is quickly becoming one of the Gold Coast's premier dining precincts. Gone are the days when famished beach-goers needed to rely on questionable fish and chips to fuel their day in the waves, as Paradise Centre is set to open a bustling dining precinct by the beach. This impressive expansion will bring exciting new surf and lifestyle retailers to compliment the already popular beachside haunt. Whether you're a sun-soaked tourist seeking a bite or a local ready to find your new favourite place to catch up with pals, Paradise Centre will be the perfect place for you. Here's everything you can expect to eat, see and experience when the expansion opens on Friday September 9.

In terms of location, it doesn’t get much better than Paradise Centre’s primo pozzie, which is just a hop, skip and jump from the sun-drenched Surfers Paradise beach. The centre is already the heart of Cavill Mall’s shopping and dining, and this expansion is only set to elevate your experience further. Joining the world’s largest Timezone, Woolworths, Celebrity Ink’s flagship studio, and an array of al fresco and takeaway dining options are the likes of Gelato MessinaEl Camino CantinaNahm Talay Thai, La Playa and more! September 9 will also see the opening of Hero Sushi Train and Enzo’s Italian, which will whet your appetite in anticipation for Queensland’s first Wahlburgers and TGI Fridays that are set to open soon after. El Camino Cantina has already got us excited, teasing Surfers Paradise-inspired decor and the fact that this will be the first location in Australia to offer the coveted breakfast menu. Likewise, this will be the first Gold Coast location for Gelato Messina. If you haven’t tried any of the 35 standard flavours, rotating specials, milkshakes or cakes, then it’s time to get excited. These lactose-loving legends are about to change the way you gelato.

Each of these dining destinations will bring its own flair to Surfers Paradise, teasing opening specials, relaxed fit-outs, takeaway and dine-in services, and a mountain of nourishing nosh to fuel your next beach trip. While you’re there, be sure to stop at any of the new retailers joining the recently opened Vans and Surf Dive N’ Ski, including Baku Swimwear, Rip Curl, Stateside Sports and Dastaan Barber. Oh, and did we mention that MANIAX Axe Throwing has just opened on level one? It’s safe to say Paradise Centre is officially a one-stop food and entertainment destination.

Paradise Centre’s two-level expansion is set to bring delicious, laid-back dining and beach culture to Surfers Paradise. Be sure to keep your peepers peeled on The Weekend Edition and Paradise Centre socials to stay updated on the latest news and openings.
